From http://www.answers.com/topic/hydra-chess

The current Hydra team, led by Abdul Mateen Khan, is working on two new chess projects: Cryptic and Shark.

* Cryptic runs on modern high speed multi-processor CPU. It is programmed in mixed C and Assembly Language. It is aimed to be the world's top single machine Chess Engine.
* Shark is network based deep search meta engine. It is based on unique idea by which it reaches to depth of 25+ easily with the help of only 6 CPUs in less than a minute. Currently a dual core CPU takes more than an hour to reach to this depth.

GGM Regards
Ricardo
Steintz was the strongest module Applied Concepts released before going out of business
stronger them Morphy Encore

the price for the auction is ridiculous
the seller will receive no bids
a very good price for GGM with all modules is about $500

Yes, it was a gift from him, as many others.
But of course those were the good old times. Presently Steve despise me and would not give to me even a coin.

Steve,

I have been watching that auction with great interest and had been meaning to ask if that is...

Realistically Priced Regards

PS: Would probably have been interested if the price was a third of the current asking price.

yes well even though the computer is made entirely of the coveted plastic some things are simply not worth the price
as we can see the auction ended sans any bids and the seller has not even re-listed it

the one really interesting thing about the auction is that it included the some what rare Capa"S" end game module rather then the more commonly seen Regular Capa module(No "S")
the Gruenfeld "S" opening book module of course is more common then the Regular Gruen so nothing to write home about there

Even Plastic has its limits Regards

Am I asking something, Steve?
I am so ruined as you or more, so even a gift I could not receive due my lack of money to pay the postman.
I am selling Morphy Encore to get a hot meal tonight regards

Times are indeed tough, but I had the foresight two years ago to fill my underground bank vault with a very large number of 400 troy ounce plastic bars. When the world runs out of plastique, the governments will all come running to me.

Prepared with Plastique regards
