The King, The Great 2020 update

Post by Yarc »

Hello,

There is some good news! We shall be getting a free major update to all King modules this November. User Mythbuster on the German forum has given me permission to post a link to his article which explains all the features this update provides, and I have to say, it's an impressive update.

Take a look https://www.schachcomputer.info/forum/s ... php?t=6294

This update takes the King to new levels Regards
Ray

It wont be available until November, still being finalised at the moment.

The new update is supposed to be available free of charge at the end of November, for both King Element and King Performance chess computers.

We believe that the new easy-to-use Comfort Mode will be satisfactory for more than 90% of our users, whereas the Expert Mode (containing the existing features) is challenging the remaining 10%.

By the way, here are the official SSDF ratings for the Millennium Chess Computers of 11th July:
164 Millennium The King Exclusive 300 MHz 2543 70 -67 104 57% 2495
240 Millennium ChessGenius Excl. M7 300 MHz 2244 68 -62 120 62% 2159
262 Millennium ChessGenius Pro M4 120 MHz 2165 59 -54 160 63% 2068
284 Millennium ChessGenius ARM M4 48 MHz 2075 51 -47 211 63% 1986

The new program update for King Element and King Performance is almost completed.
Now the instruction manual is being prepared.
If everything goes well, the program shall be released at the end of this month.

Best regards from Munich,

Hi Ray
those of us who are "memory challenged" will rely on you to provide us with detailed ...step by step.. instructions on how to download and install the update

a new and separate thread should be posted here which should include but not be limited to...
the exact links on the Millennium website we need to download the update
instructions on connecting our King/Lasker units to the PC
Blue tooth instructions(if any)
key in procedures
estimated times for the complete update

:P
well of course i cant insist on your help but it would be greatly appreciated

Hi Steve,

Good to hear from you.

I'm sure you will be fine installing the update when it arrives later this month. However, will be happy to write some instructions, assuming I can install it! Between us, we can stumble through the it, but

I'll be the guinea pig Regards
Ray

Not as far as I know, but believe it's imminent.

An early Christmas present Regards
