How on earth did that get built with the squares wrong?

What a shame ...

Hans told me the story behind the wrong fields at the Toy Fair. The carpenter who created the prototype assumed that the operation-buttons and the display of the Revelation II should be on the right side. In this way, 2 players could easily play on the chesscomputer.

DGT was quite embarrassed at the Toy Fair. Only after I asked several times, they have unpacked the device and leave me to test. They also offered me that I can take the device with me to the hotel (Take it and never come back with it!) :-)

Later, I was interested in the curious Revelation II. Unfortunately, Ruud was faster. If the price is right, I will buy the thing. It is quite possible that one is faster again. ;-)

After playing 2 games with it the wrong colours are burned in your mind.

Carpenters seem to be funny people.
May I remind you to the fact that Pewatronic guy is also carpenter?
Jesus father was a carpenter.
And Chris W. Too.

Carpenters are funny people.

They know about wood, but that is all they know.

Chris W is more a cantankerous angry man, always ready to disqualify someone, than a carpenter. If he is, his chairs have only two leg and a knife pointing upward in the place you put the ass.

I remember Richard telling me long ago about all the Fidelity computers he owned that where hard wired into his Mephisto machines so they could auto play against one another. Obviously a very important part of his preparation when playing in the World Microcomputer Chess Championship and Fidelity being Mephisto's main rival.

Correct, i removed this cabling options when possible out of these systems. He did quite a lott of testing, and this lead for me (fortunately) that the systems themselves were not used (as in woodwork)…
