Changing the order of games in a database?

Post by dntfeedthemnkys »

Hi guys,

I've been exporting .pgn's from chess.com page-by-page and then using Terminal to merge them together to import into HIARCS.

I want to just keep one DB for chess.com games, but because Daily & Live games are separate there, I end up with different .pgn exports that, when merged together, means the games load out of order (in terms of date / time played).

Is there a way I can can re-order games in a DB by date and save them to load in that order?

Hi dntfeedthemnkys,

sort the database the way you like and then Export (edit -> copy -> games -> all gemaes -> new database) it to a new one.
This is the only way I know.

I have the same issue, when creating a Training file.
I normally use the "round" for my chapters. But if a chapter was missing and lateron added,...

Hope this is what you need,

Cheers

Uwe
