Novag Opal II

Post by kosterix »

for sale is the Novag Opal II, just wondering what your experiences are at its playstyle. Is it more human like with surprising sacrifices and blunders, or is it like a chinese wall crushing you?

TIA
Strive for avoiding anything flat that emits light. Love the unhackable chess computer with real pieces and a tactile feel. I do not collect, I live.

I'm afraid it rates well inside the "toy" category of
chess computers. No particular style, designed only to
silence a spoilt brat.
Just my experience after buying one for $10 at a flea market.

Yep. On the wiki it rates 1367 elo. Maybe just above 1400 USCF elo
Still a nice small travel companion.

If I am mistaken, it must be caused by a horizon effect...
