I searched eBay as normal and find something that I’ve wanted for ages, it’s up for £495 but the guy is accepting offers. It is missing vital components, like the board, leads & pieces, so I offer £315 and it is declined. The auction finishes - Not Sold. So the guy puts it up again for £310 with offers !!
I politely offer £275 and get another rejection, saying he had already declined £315. Again I politely reply and said that it didn’t sell, you refused my earlier offer but then advertise for less than my offer, so my offers will only go down. Needless to say, I didn’t offer any more and said good luck with the sale.
