Some Help

Post by Fernando »

A pal here sent to me Mchess in DOS version to run in D-fend, but as I open it the program ask me a verification in a disk, which of course fails because there is none. Which is the exit to that?

Probably a good idea to try CCC for this sort of info.

I use an image of the Mcp8 cd in dos emulators.
You then mount the image as virtual cd drive and the program finds the disc copy protection.
Works for me in magic dos box under android on my mobile phones.

This way I can emulate a slow pc for running it against Millennium chess genius Exclusive dedicated chess computer.

I measured the following nps for Mcp8 on different machines

Code: Select all

MCP8
Intel Atom netbook Medion E1210 70.000 NPS Intel Atom CPU
Via 500 MHz PC 60.000 NPS 500 MHz Via CPU
Sony Xperia XZ Premium EMU 17.000 NPS
Huawei P10+ EMU 15.000 NPS
Toshiba Sattelite Pro 440 CDX 15.000 NPS 133 MHz Pentium
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 EMU 7.500 NPS
Doogee Mix EMU 4.500 NPS
LG g6 EMU 3.750 NPS
Ulefone Tiger EMU 2.000 NPS
What seems like a fairy tale today may be reality tomorrow.
Here we have a fairy tale of the day after tomorrow....
