Help with Pieces identification

Post by BillT »

Hi All
Can anyone positively identify this set of pieces ??

https://drive.google.com/folderview?id= ... ERKNkRwbUU

They look to me like they are a Mephisto set but I'm not sure.
I got them some years ago when I bought another board from Ebay and theses pieces came with it.

They are a real quality set made of solid wood with black underfelt and obviously magnetised.

My thoughts were from a Munchen set....... as the pics show the king height is a fraction over 70mm.

If anyone can help I'd be grateful.

Re-pieces regards
Bill

Hi Bill

cant say its a positive identification but your pieces look very similar to my pieces for the Mephisto Montreal 68k
Especially the Rings under the crowns of the K and Q
the Knights are slightly different though..
my Knights have grooves on the neck (i guess to look like a mane)while yours are smooth

Not Quite Positive Regards

Thanks for your info Steve It looks like the pieces are in fact from a MM VI. so you were pretty close . I guess each release has a similar set of pieces just a minor change here and there.
On that note I have another set which I can't Identify either.......so again if anyone can help on this set please let me know.
