Thought I'd watch this auction out of curiosity, and didn't expect the price
to go nearly as high. The strong handhelds are an investment, it seems.
Under the hood it's an Amber, which I've got, so I'm not missing out
on the software, just the hardware. They are sought after by some as
a travelling chess computer, but personally I find the Mephisto Master
ideal on a flight.

HI LARRY
YES I too looked at the eBay auction,
And did some very quick research and found that the
Novag Ruby, Zircon I and II, Turquoise, Novag Amber
May all share the same Program with different size library
And CPU settings.
What caught my eye was that Novag advertised the Amber as 2294 USCF (128 Levels)
And the Jade II as 2241 USCF (56 LEVELS).

Anyway I did bid won the auction for the Amber.
