It will be same tournament rule time control 30 seconds or 40/20 or 60/30. You can take Co-Champion if you want I am not pushing it or we can play next week.

It really is up to you to say what you would prefer. I know today has been very hard but a lot of fun I hope as well :)

Best regards
Nick

Hi Nick;
OK, I will give news, but very strange behavior of V9 and Montreux, rating above the V7 with poor performance. RISC II also. Computers are computers.

Hi Oswaldo,

Yes that always happens in tournaments there are always surprises. In a next tournament the same computers play differently.

OK I will wait with posting the Champion or Co-Champion until I hear from you in the next couple of days. If you want to play then we play next weekend.

best regards

Hi Oswaldo,

I don´t think that the V9 result was "very strange." With a 50% score it was above expectations. I am happy with that result.
Concerning the Montreux, I agree.

Please let us know what the modification of the V7 was like.

Elite V7 and V9

Post by dedicate computers »

Hello,

steve_uk, detected problems in the hash table for Elite V7 and V9, the adjustment should be made in accordance with the instructions that he sent me.

Use a small soldering-bit. The smallest you have. You require also a sharp blade (stanley type knife). Cut the tiny track at point "B" making it open-circuit. Point "A" is a track hidden between pins 3 & 4 of the chip. Put the blade between these legs and cut the track a few times make sure it is open-circuit between pins 3 & 4. Then solder a fine guage wire to pins 4 & 5. Put the other end of the wire to where you see towards the top of the board. Be careful not to put too much heat into the chip whilst attaching the wire!

Isn't the machine not using hash tables without this ?
Is this a bug in the layout of the pcb ? and is this in all v7/v9 ?
Or only in original fidelity? also in Steves pcbs ?

I don't understand what the problem is. Please enlighten me.

bug, and bugs

Post by dedicate computers »

was a bug identified by steve-uk, so he recommended this setting. If you have questions, I think it would be better if you write to him. A particular interesting is that when I did this, my machine V7 and V9, played much better.
