Watch live games in HIARCS Chess Explorer

Post by Mark Uniacke »

We have a new page where we will put URLs you can use in HIARCS Chess Explorer to watch the games live in HCE and analyse them etc.

Visit: http://www.hiarcs.com/live-chess.htm for details.

There you will find details of the current tournaments covered. Currently the classical games from Zurich will be available for HIARCS Chess Explorer customers to watch live.
Best wishes,
Mark

The candidates is available to watch live in HIARCS Chess Explorer using this url:
http://www.hiarcs.biz:8300/fide-cand.pgn

Simply copy the link and choose File->Open URL... from the menu, the copied URL will be automatically pasted in the dialog, click ok and the games will be downloaded and updated regularly (depending on your preference setting).

You can analyse and add comments and variations as the games progress.
Best wishes,
Mark

Hello,

where is the file to edit the list of copied urls, which appears as a pull down menu to choose from?
I want to get rid of a link, which is useless for me, as it has nothing to do with chess and found its way by mistake into this list.

Thank you!

Cheers!

In Windows the list is stored in the registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HIARCS\HiarcsChessExplorer\Live

You can watch the current Gashimov Memorial in HCE using this URL:

Simply copy the link above and select File->Open URL...

Click Ok and the games will be loaded including the games currently being played live right now.

The link works for me in the PC version of Chess Explorer. What does the error message say?

You could try The Week In Chess link instead and see if that works. http://www.theweekinchess.com/assets/fi ... hmem14.pgn

What error message ae you referring to?

Could you please give me an example of the URL in quotes which gives the error so I can try this.

My understanding is if a space is left at the end of the URL HCE will not enable the ok button.

Mark
