Relieved to hear the news
however as prescribed by the match terms....
any attempt at psychological warfare intended to disrupt the concentration
of the other team shall carry with it certain penalties
along with this "off with the match".."on with the match" ploy
Rev ll's team has x-rayed the playing area and has discovered two dead flies under the playing board..obvioulsy placed there by the Mysticum team
as a result the Mysticum ..as a penalty.. must now complete the match with

The 9th game was adjourned on move 24.Nxe7+ because of an operating problem with Rev II.

Mysticum came out of book on move 3. Maybe Steve tuned! Rev II book for 1.Nc3

Not much book prep given the Rev II was out of book on move 5

to briefly explain the problem i had with the Rev II
Ricardo needed a take back after a mouse slip on move 24
after we took back the moves i was dropped by the server
we had to restart the game from the beginning
i used the "show moves" option to be able to replay my moves
when we reached move 24 the Rev II would not recognize moves made on the board
i had to "set up" the position after every move
this had the result of giving the Mysticum more pondering time and the Rev ll was basically playing without pondering..once it had the new position it pondered for 60 seconds and moved
after about a dozen moves the Rev ll was in a losing position so i resigned
to Ricardo's credit he would not accept a win under these conditions and given we were now short on available time to play on he agreed to adjourn the game from move 24
a true sportsmanlike gesture

my mistake i think was to try to play on from the reconstructed position after using the "show moves" option
i think i should have started a new game, entered the position and then played from there

i guess the explanation was not so brief regards

Hi Ricardo
we will have to play all of the moves again to move 24
there is a way to send a challenge with a position already set up but I don't know how to do that

Clueless Regards

Hi Steve,

You are still in Idle mode in the server hope everything is ok with you or Rev II, i will wait for one more hour. In the meantime i will work on Mysticum II the amount of work on this new project and my few time available for it i guess i will finish it by the end of 3rd quarter of the year. It will have a much biger board a 45x45 cm Mysticum I is over a modular board so is much smaller in size.
