i guess i got a bit carried away but i have acquired 3 additional DGT Chess sets:
Royal
Venus
Ebony
together with the Timeless and Classic sets ..which i already had .that makes all of the sets they sell
when this is combined with the BCE set i recently received i now have 6 DGT compatible sets
as a result i will play each one of the 10 games ..rotating the different sets
Game I (as black ) Rev II Hiarcs will be using the BCE set
Out Of Control Here Regards

There is also a DGT Design set, although this is no longer for sale. Well, at least not for sale from DGT.Steve B wrote:i guess i got a bit carried away but i have acquired 3 additional DGT Chess sets:

anyway..
in preparation for this Sunday's first game..
i matched Rev ll Hiarcs vs. Fritz 8 (running on my dual core 2.53 Ghz Intel I5)
the SSDF rates F8 2754 running on a 1200Mhz Athlon so on my setup it is should be about 2800
Rev II H was using the BCE piece set
time control ...Game in 10 Minutes
Rev H was out of book first at move 9...Fritz at move 12
Rev H wins a P early on..then a Second..and then plays the endgame up two P's like Capablanca himself

At one day from now for the game i did a match Mysticum (800 MHz) Houdini 1.5a vs Fritz X ( dual core 1.7 GHz). Fritz X at the SSDF list is 2845 running on an Atholon 1200 MHz so here is over that rating.

Hi Steve, so you've had also a very successful year-end statement, not bad...Steve B wrote:i guess i got a bit carried away but i have acquired 3 additional DGT Chess sets:
Royal
Venus
Ebony
Steve
I have "only" the Royal, the Timeless and of course the BCE pieces - but the Ebonies were also catching my eye. Since you are sort of an independent source... which set do you like the most?
Happy New Year Regards,
Martin

the Ebony set is quite impressive
pieces are large and with good weight
however i do think the King is a bit taller then it should be
it seems to tower over the Queen
at least in my opinion
anyway..
Game two of the match will be tomorrow .. Rev ll Hiarcs will have the white pieces and will be sporting the Classic Piece Set
All Dressed Up and Ready To Go Regards
Steve
