Hiarcs 9.7 Palm v Ufim 8.02 (4 game match)

Post by Graham Banks »

To christen my recently won prize (thanks again Mark, Harvey, Steve, sponsors), I'm going to run a short match between Hiarcs 9.7 Palm and Ufim 8.02.
According to the estimated 2600+ rating for the Palm and the CCRL rating of 2644 for Ufim, it should be an interesting duel. 8)

Conditions will be ponder on, 40 moves in 40 minutes repeating, Ufim using the HS-10moves.ctg book.

I'll post the moves with comments and the odd diagram (if I can figure out how to post them).

Once the kittens are awake, I'll post a photo of me, the Palm and a kitten.

Hi Graham,

On you 200Mhz Z22 Palm device the expected strength is 2506 Elo.

The Z22 has the processing power of a 50-75Mhz Pentium.

Are you using the "massive" book?
Best wishes,
Mark

Hi Mark,

I will use the "massive" book. 8)
I'll try to get Game 1 done tonight.
If Ufim is too strong for Hiarcs, I'll try another engine rated around 2500 next.

Regards, Graham.

Almost three weeks old now. 8)
Still very small though.
My wife is trying to get them licking blended kitten food off her finger, but some are quicker on the uptake than others, so bottle feeding remains the main way of feeding them at present.
