CEGT - ratings lists November 11th 2007

Post by Werner »

Hi all :-),

our new 40/20 and 40/120 rating lists are online and can be found under the attached links.

40 / 20:
We have 2 new engines listed this week: DeepShredder 11 x64 4CPU and TheKing 3.50 x64 2CPU. Moreover we made games with Shredder 11 (2CPU and 1CPU), Zappa Mexico w32 1CPU and Colossus 2006d. See more in our list "Games of the week".

In total our 40/20 list is based on 195.705 games!

New engines:
This week we started to test DeepShredder 11 x64 with 4CPU. After (only) 196 games the start rating is again +100 points in front of the previous version. And since this week we found a way to test TheKing 3.50_64 with 2 CPUs. There are several reasons the start rating of 2780 is not clear:
- only 207 games
- too far away from the single version
- it´s still not clear for me how to manage the engine not to use CPU-time from the other engine in our eng-eng matches. Especially on the Quad I reported these problems and had to delete a lot of games. On the dual engines it seems to work ok - but I saw differences between Arena and Chessbase GUI. Maybe it depends on the priority of the engines in use?

updated engines:
DeepShredder 11 w32 1CPU lost 18 points and has now 2892 elos. This is 82 points better than Shredder 10. Zappa Mexico w32 1CPU has now 2836 elos. As you see - Shredder is better with the single engine and Zappa with the duals. TheKing350 w32 1CPU has now 568 games and a rating of 2681. We had some bad matches for the engine so we can hope for better results in the future.

40 / 120:
Our 40/120 list was updated too. As we now make matches with 4 CPUs on our Quads and for 2 CPU engines on the two duals, the number of new games is not so high . The list is based now on 16432 games.
Interim results (DeepShredder 11 4CPUs included) we publish in our forum:

Here you can see the results of the first finished matches. Hopefully we can make a separate list with 8-10 different engines at the end of the year.

40 / 4:
Our blitz list will be updated next week. We just started to test the new Scorpio 2.o engine from Daniel Shawul.

A big „Thank you“ to all testers as usual! :)
