Shredder 11 has certainly made good gains, and on a single CPU it very much has the better of Hiarcs:
CCRL FRC 40/4
Shredder 11 vs Hiarcs 11.1 => 65.0 - 35.0
Shredder 11 vs Hiarcs 11.2 => 70.0 - 30.0 ouch...
CCRL Normal chess 40/40
Shredder 11 vs Hiarcs 11.1 => 21.5 - 13.5 (more games coming)
However Hiarcs gains far more from multiple CPUs than Shredder it seems, so quad performance is much closer
CCRL Normal chess 40/40
Quad Shredder 11 vs Quad Hiarcs 11.1 => 26.0 - 24.0 (very close)
Amazingly we have not tested Shredder 11 single CPU at normal chess 40/4 yet, but it would surely be similar to the FRC results
I am pretty certain Hiarcs 12 will leap ahead again when released
Shredder 11 vs Hiarcs 11 - Roll on Hiarcs 12 !

Although CEGT tests are showing a different story so far:

Also one of our latest betas(89c) on a dual at 3+2 beat DS11 73-53Here's something that should make you feel good, Harvey. I'm currently doing some testing of Shredder 11 UCI (32-bit, 1 CPU) for CEGT, and Hiarcs 11.1 UCI (1 CPU) has been having Shredded cheese for dinner the past few nights. After 11 games between the two, its TPR is around 3050.

A request to Ray and anyone else listening with longer time control games,
I'd appreciate if you can check a few Shredder games and see if there
are any suspicious looking 1 or 0s moves. I've seen this happen in
some 720' games in both the Fritz 10 and Shredder 11 GUI, and have sent
some info to Stefan who has had a look and not come up with anything.
It could just be my computer for some odd reason, but if someone else
sees this then it probably is real.

PS I've posted a few PGNs in the talkchess forum under tournaments.
