Novag Super Expert on ebay

Post by Larry »

I'm the current high bidder, but for how long?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 0153303863

I'm expecting it to go for about $800. It still has over a week to go.
The Novag machines are reliable, and give most of their playing
strength on the quick time settings.
all the best

Looks like it is not the C6 version
hard to tell but it might be the B or even the A program running at 5 or 6 Mhz

Good Luck Regards

Oops!.... looks like I'm the current high bidder on an 'A'.

Oh well, over a week to go in the bidding. I messaged the seller and
here is his reply:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
" I'll double check, but I believe another bidder and I figured that it is an "A" model since it was from 1987 (box and original invoice say '87)

Look for what I discover as an addition to the listing. Thanks!~"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's got to be worth $400 though, even if it is an 'A'
all the best
Larry
PS It's possible to update the eprom, I'm told

i guess you can do that
but then you most probably will have an A5 Mhz which i guess you could live with as well
also you should know the size of the A board in terms of length and width is a bit smaller then the B and C boards

Hello Steve. How much is a ''bit smaller than''?....Thanks Jaimes.
i never measured it exactly Jaimes but i would guesstimate about a 1/2 inch smaller length and width wise..the thickness of the board is the same

hi Larry
looks like you are still on the hook for the A5 with a little more then a day to go
The seller did revise the auction to mention the A status ..as you said he would..
i enjoyed the spin he put on it though..

"confirmed original first release"
..none other then the.. A model ..folks
:)

he makes it sound as if it is a hard to find First Edition of a rare book or manuscript
there does seem to be a large amount of interest in the auction though,as it has received close to 1200 hits/views when i last checked it

good luck being out bid on it(or in winning..which ever way you want this to end up)

Yes Alain, I was just about to say the same thing. But still, it's
probably worth $400, so if I win, then so be it.

A 'C' Super Forte, not Super Expert? Thanks for the offer Terry, but I've already got
one of those. And a 'B' Super Forte. If I win this auction, it will complete the
set.

You win the bet!

A nice machine, but I've got a soft spot for the Mach3 excel. The Designer
is a rather tacky looking thing, but with a nice smooth playing surface.
