Tomorrows game at 1030 Mexico time 1630 Uk and 1730 europe.

The times of the other games are not yet confirmed but around 1030 local time each day is my guess.

Hi,
The tournament book getting turned off explains certain moves in the opening by Rybka .... In my database the first TN was Zaps 20.f6 ... I found a comp blitz game that played 20.Qe6+

I liked more Zappa in this game, more attacking and even sacrificing a pawn, I'd expect Rybka being the one doing such things (ala 1.0 Beta style). Either I hope that Rybka wins by being more aggressive or I hope that Zappa wins by making one of its attacks work and drawing the rest of the games.

After analyzing the game a bit now i have the same opinion....
57...Be1 loses while 57...Bxe5 draws....

BTW Rybka was playing today without tablebases.
Rybka's people seem to try to break the world record of mistakes in official tournaments, with hardware failures, bugs of last moment, wrong setups etc.... :-)

Thank you, George, that is very nice of you.
In fact, Rybka team had to decide either to use Rybka 2.3.2a with tablebases or a newer version, where TBs via remote were not encoded. Vas decided to use a newer version - although it had no TBs, it won.

Any more complaints?

And please tell me about hardware failures - i can't remember any.

?? :-) Relax.
I was not complaining or attacking or insulting you or anyone else....

I was just joking, based on some things i saw about some of Rybka's strange things in some tournaments....

I was referring to the bug of last moment against Benjamin, the lack of tablebases against Zappa(not only here but in the WCCC), the use of different hardware instead of what it was planned in some 2-3 cases i remember, for example use of reduced CPU-cores, as also other cases i don't remember clearly now.

But i'm saying these not with a sense of criticism, but just as a joke....
Internet's written language, creates that kind of misunderstandings unfortunately....

Congratulations about the win BTW....
Also here you said Vas used finally the Rybka version that does not support tbs. In Rybkaforum i saw you say that there is another newer Rybka version.
Tomorrow what version you will use? This even newer version or the middle one?

Hello,

Good game from Rybka,

Curious what version of Rybka was playing, at the Rybka forum some people mentioned that the play was similar to a Rybka 3.0 Beta?

Susan Polgar is posting some trivia about the start of the game on her blog spot http://susanpolgar.blogspot.com/:
Image
Larry Kaufman, Dagh Nielsen, Susan Polgar, David Levy and Erdogan Günes before the start of game 2. Susan writes: Making the first move for Rybka. It was e4. I did not pull a Gorbachev and play 1.g4 :)

The future may be just around the corner. I obtained some secret pictures of Anthony's latest MIT-project, codenamed Zappa Zapata that, together with some fierce looking friends, is about to relieve two octad computers currently held up by customs at the Mexican border.

Image

After the two computers are freed Zappa Zapata will steamroll over all of the resistance, take Mexico City and the rest of the country by storm, beat the Rybka team in the process and declare Robot Rule!

Ps I analyzed a bit further how Zappa could have drawn the game after 57. Bxe5:

Of the two programs used for the analysis, Shredder 9 with available tablebases does not yet see the draw here but Toga Checkov with bitbases does evaluate 0.00})
