Hi all, I just got hold of this machine, box and comp only, no owners'
manual. It seems a simple enough machine, but I'm having trouble getting
it to work. There doe'snt seem anything wrong with it. The LED display is
fine.
Does anyone here have experience with these things? Apart from the
red buttons on the right, there are just two controls, one toggles between
"L" and "S" and the other is the 'on/off' switch.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks and best regards
Larry

A manual for your Videomaster Chess Champion
Hello, Larry-
This guy has one of your machines, with the manual. He says on his website he can get you a copy if you need it. Or maybe you just need to talk to him about it. He collects these old computers.

Good luck.

So it looks like the Mk1 holds the "Reverse Rybka" award for being the
singularly weakest chess comp ever foisted upon a gullible late 1970's
public! Should be quite an investment for the future.
thanks and all the best
Larry
