Hi Tracy,

I noticed that you finally got yourself a Mephisto Exclusive board with a nice module in it! :-)

Hi Tracy,
The three boards (Exclusive, Munchen & Modular) from Mephisto that accept modules will open up a new world of collecting options to you with at least 8 modules to choose from.
It is very exciting to be waiting for a new chess computer to arrive.

Enjoy,
Dave

Hi all!
I do not really see me as a collector, but since my youth I have been fascinated by chess and chess computers. In recent years I have finally had some opportunities to acquire some and here is my small collection. I have deliberately tried to get a wide spread of brands as well as programmers. I belong to the crowd who does not yet have a "Lang" computer.

Mephisto supermondial2 (Schröder)
Radioshack 2200X (Morsch)
Novag Citrine (Kittinger)
Mephisto masterchess (Morsch)
Novag Beluga (Kittinger)
Fidelty sc9 B (Spracklen)
Lexibook 425 Xlight (Danielsen)
Scisys Astral (Kaplan, Barnes)

Handhelds
Mephisto Miami (Morsch)
Mepgisto Maestro (Barnes)

Greetings
/Peter

Wow! How did you get so many of these expensive (and often hard-to-find) units? Do you play them against each other?

I noticed you have some duplicates. Will you be selling these? I'll bet there are a lot of Chess Computer fans out there that would love to have some of them.

That's not a original pcb - it's a clone, which I built into a EAG 2100 housing. :P

Hi Tracy,
TracySMiller wrote:Wow! How did you get so many of these expensive (and often hard-to-find) units?
I started early collecting them, spent a lot of money without discussion before my marriage and with a lot of discussion afterwards... :P
TracySMiller wrote:

I participate in or organize tournaments, where I can play them. And I myself play against the one or other...
TracySMiller wrote: I noticed you have some duplicates. Will you be selling these? I'll bet there are a lot of Chess Computer fans out there that would love to have some of them.
Sorry Tracy, but I'm a collector (not a sales man) - duplicates are needed, because 30 year old electronics tend to fail. Now I finally have the time to deal (not to sell!) with them; but if my pension should drop in future, I probably will rethink my strategy.

The only chess computer I sell is a hand made Mysticum for those, who do not want to build or cannot build one on their own.

Never sell your collection Regards, Michael
