Well Steve if it is not the board which in itself would have increased the price since its a Muenchen. It has to be the pieces which look out of whack to me when I compare them to the pieces on my boards:

Muenchen Pieces

Bavaria Pieces

I would say that the pieces look too large for the board sold on ebay (unless it is an exclusive board with a Muenchen Logo).

So what is special about the pieces?

hi Nick

the pieces shown in the auction are the very expensive and rare Fidelity Prestige pieces

this piece set alone is worth perhaps 150-200 Euro alone and it is the reason the price went so high

Well Done Regards

Hi Steve:

I hope the buyer gets what he ordered. I would have been too suspicious with this one without asking a lot of questions first. Sold as Exclusive but shows a Muenchen board.

The photo almost looks like a stock photo and with regards to the pieces the seller obviously did not know what he had since the did not show them in the close ups. I would be worried about actually receiving the pieces shown in the photo.

If the seller knows what he is doing then this is a perfect way to do a switch afterwards.

best regards
Nick

Hi Nick,
spacious_mind wrote:Sold as Exclusive but shows a Muenchen board.
and what do you think of this auction ?
http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... 0151570701

I have tried to explain to the seller that he will not sell his computer as long as the title of the auction is "Novag Opal" and the picture a "Galileo" but obviously, he did not understand what I was trying to tell him...
or may be he is really selling a Open

best regards,
Alain

Hi Alain:

 Poor guy is he really from England?? The spelling in his description is as bad as the photo. I think I will pass on that one too. It is probably a Novag Opal that someone sold him inside that Galileo box for 350 GBP .... lol

If i saw the auction i would never say that the price is high? München Boards are very expensive - ever sold for much money.

elpeon.com/index.php?id_des_datensatzes=1264&mod=2|0
elpeon.com/index.php?id_des_datensatzes=379&mod=2|0
elpeon.com/index.php?id_des_datensatzes=411&mod=2|0

Only three examples of much more.

But that someone look so exactly to the shown pieces i do not think. Okay you, Steve, you have 6 eyes :D
I do not think that the price is high for the pieces...
The buyer think that this are normal pieces from a München Board, like me

Detective Regards José
no i dont think so Jose
the buyer i think is expecting Prestige pieces
the MM2 module is worth nothing and a Munchen board does not sell for $500 usually

2 of the 3 auctions you show are for MMIV and MMV modules

my opinion:
Munchen board-$325
MM2 module-$25
Prestige Pieces-$200

also one of the bidders who bid up the auction is a known dealer on Ebay
i think he would keep the Prestige pieces and resell the board and module with normal Munchen pieces

Best Steve
PS..did your friend ever change the name of his computer to the Commander or does he still insist on the Galaxy?

perhaps you are right the buyer recognize the "rare" pieces, but apart from the fact for a münchen board with a 8Bit Modul is 400 Euro not a high price for me. Alone a München board without any modules bought for 300-400 Euro´s.

No, the thread is now over and the result is, that the dutch collector has an Commander! He compares his unit with other CommanderOwners. Now he is happy that he exact know what unit he has!
he still change the name in his public lists...

no i dont think so Jose
but i do think, he is right: i have seen many München IV or München Polgar go for >450 Euro!

Or a München with MM II and Rebell for 590 Euro!
or with Vancouver 16bit for 560...

München pieces standalone sell for about 83-95 Euro! (i have 5 such auctions in my database)

I have often asked myself, why people pay so much for such huge boards. Do they have too much space on their desks?

Robert
