Here is my "GO Cougar":
If you've been trading on ebay for dedicateds for a while, you will not doubt
have got lumbered with a dicky machine. I got a Cougar that turned out
to have an intermittent fault in the playing surface. I had already given the
positive feedback before noticing.
So, I put the works of the Cougar into an old 'GO' Machine(an RS2150),
which has the same case as the RISC2500 and the Montreux. The Euro's
nickname it the 'washboard'. Now it's a beautiful machine to play with, nice
soft playing surface, with a better feel than the Cougar. Of course it's
virtually worthless except maybe as a gift for another hobbyist. In future
I'll hold my feedback for a few days so any problems have had time to
surface.
If, like me, you've got a graveyard of broken comps, you might be able
to do something similar.
all the best

nice work
but the name
'Hybrid Dedicated" is not really necessary
Collector's already have a nice one term for computers like this
they are called

I think this case was used by approx. 15 "different" chess computers. The strongest you still named - Montreux and RISC2500!
Nice work you done.
