New Selectice Search and news about Hiarcs12

Post by Harvey Williamson »

Selective Seach 134 is published with a picture of me and Sebi on the front congratulating us/Hiarcs on the Paderborn win.

The other breaking News is that H12 when released will have a UCI version available direct from Mark and you will also be able to buy it on a DVD from ChessBase.

I can see it now, the Chessbase headlines: "Buy Hiarcs 12, the program that defeated Rybka in Paderborn and that won a tournament where Rybka participated, etc. etc. etc."

Well i got my issue today
of course the first thing i always do is turn to the back page to check the latest dedicated computer ratings
nice to see the Citrine is slowing creeping upwards in the ratings

turning to the front page(normal spot for Harvey's latest photo) i notice to my horror that on the laptop screen next to you and Sebi..the Hiarcs Forum is NOT shown...not even minimized

 Regards
Steve

Hi Steve

We must be telepathic - my very first act on receiving No. 134 was also to turn to the back page and check Citrine's new and improved rating!

In the short time I've had my Citrine I've already had it play 10 games at 40/2 against Cosmos, Miami, Amber & Grandmaster so far - crushing the latter 4 - 0 at the moment.

After Game 9 Citrine temporarily achieved a performance rating of 2026 by my calculations, but a loss to Miami in Game 10 dropped it back to the high 1900s behind Cosmos - but many, many more games to go.

Psychic HOLZ Regards

Glad you are enjoying your new addition
the Citrine can be quite frustrating
it can go on a tear sweeping away everything in its path playing above 2100 and then lose 5 in a row to drop to 2000

Holz Hovering in mid 2000's Regards
