you are not the only one - I got #2/50....

as i said before its very refreshing to deal with a company that cares about its customers (unlike another company where you have to beg them for info on updates and beg them to take your money)

Steve - how were you added to their email list? I can't find any links to "register" on their website.
Happy Holidays!
Greg
Hi Greg
actually they contacted me first after reading a post i made here about their PGN tool not working when it was first released
after i supplied some info to them they have had my email address from then on
I received today the velvet chess set, number 42/50. When Millennium said a Christmas themed set I was imagining perhaps Santa Claus for the King, Elves for the pawns etc. But I am not being ungrateful for receiving a new set of velvet pieces, thank you Millennium!

its a good idea to get a second set of pieces
remember ..with a piece recognition board...if one piece goes bad you cant play a game
Steve
I emailed Millennium asking about piece recognition reliability and based on their feedback decided to hold on buying another set until the New Year when I might have some spare cash. Apparently, the expected life span of the recognition chips is 20 to 30 years. However, for one Black Knight it was only two games

not sure I understand this...
are you saying that you already have a defective Knight that the board wont recognize??
if so...why not contact Millennium and inform them that you just bought the computer and there is one defective piece.. I bet they will send you the Knight for free
