Mephisto Senator/Magellan - kind request for help

Post by jarek »

Dear Chess Friends,

I managed to buy at a quite good price Mephisto Senator modulset.
Unfortunately I have no manual and on Alain Zanchetta's Web Site there is only French version.
Would you please be so kind and provide me with a scan of the manual - either English or German version?
(I believe there is one same instruction manual for two modules - Senator and Magellan)

I would be very grateful for your help!

kind regards,
Jarek

Hi Jarek,

I’ll have a look Sunday, as I have the Senator Modules. I’m not sure if they came with instructions or not. I’m in a tournament all day Saturday ...

Cheers,

Hi Al

thanks for wanting to help me!

I looked at your impressive list of chess computers and noticed you have two types of exclusive boards - regulated and unregulated ones.
What does it mean?
and how do I know which type is my board?

Good luck on the tournament!

cheers

Hi Jarek,

I have an English version for the Senator, if you PM me your email address I’ll forward you a copy.

Jarek,

As for the Regulated / Unregulated boards, read this post from this forum in how it was explained to me ....

Thank you very much for help, Al!

One last questions: does the Senator module have a sticker with serial number?
During the Hegener + Glaser era the modules had such stickers.
I do not have such sticker on my Senator, so I wonder if the prior owner removed it or maybe Saitek did not use such stickers?
I have only "ACL" sticker to indicate reset button.

Cheers
Jarek

P.S. How went the tournament?
