Millenium Chess Genius Pro-Exclusive Genius

Post by donkeylane »

I am interested in seeing how these chess genius programs compare under the same match conditions I have posted previously ,after posting this match, that will be all of my dedicated computers having played each other, besides my Rev 2 emulations which I won't be testing. So it will be a 12 game match under the old classical tournament settings, with both programs using their extensive books.

Game 5 of the match,it does seem to me there may be a bigger difference in the final score, maybe because they are both the same program and speed becomes more of a telling factor than in the R30-CGPro match.

This is the halfway stage of the match, the score at the moment a little more one sided than I would have thought at the outset.

Game 7,going by the SSDF rating of 2180 for the CGPro, it should be interesting calculating the MCGE rating at the end of this.

I'm sure it wasn't needed on my post just now, but the MCGE was playing black, and the ECO code was B50, cheers Steve C.

Game 8 of the match, the MCGE missed good opportunities at move 21 and again at move 23 to gain a substantial advantage.

Game 9 ,even though the MCGE beat the R30 in their match, I do believe it has missed a number of tactical shots the R30 wouldn't have, still it's the result that counts.

Game 11, by the way, I did try that 400 year old problem on the MCGE, it had made no progress after 20 minutes.

Final game of the match, a bigger difference in the final result than many would have thought I believe.
