seems to have a defective a2 square

http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-Novag-Robo ... SwXXxZQf2o

the square shouldnt be too hard to fix....
but then you can look forward to a broken arm as it will go bad in about 2-4 Hrs of playing time

Armed and Dangerous Regards
Steve
Well the defective Robot sells for $1550
continuing the trend that broken chess computers sell for top dollar on Ebay these days
at least the buyer can look forward to spending many Hours with the Robot for many years to come...
Repairing It Regards
Steve
It seems the $1550 winning bidder backed out of the deal
here it is again :

Not So Fast Regards
Steve
Because the bid was a con. The winning bidder in my opinion was a friend of the seller. They just outconned themselves :) Winning bidder really had no activity related to chess computers.

Sorry my mistake. I thought the photo 5th
from the left was the box, it's the second owners
manual.
In this case the price is VERY ambitious.

http://www.ebay.de/itm/Mephisto-modular ... SwMvtZXZ~y

Can this be real?

Seems extremely cheap for a modular board, MMI and koffer. No seller history though and coming from China. Good luck to anyone who tries buying it. PayPal should refund in any case.

Maybe it's just for the photo of the board and suitcase?

Curious regards,

tt

Hi tt

Over the last few months there have been many of these auctions. Chinese based, no feedback history, different seller ID every time, photos from previous auctions, Buy-It-Now prices around 20-25 Euros for items worth a lot more. When you first see one you think wow what a bargain, then closer inspection raises suspicions and when you see the second such auction those suspicions are confirmed.
Obviously to be steered well clear of to avoid hassle and disappointment.

All the best

I was also pretty sceptical but after your warning I'll steer clear for sure. I guess if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Thanks for the heads up.

This guy is selling an Excalibur Mirage
he is so intent on selling it as "unopened and new " that he made 12 photos of the box alone and none of the actual computer for fear of taking it out of the shrink wrap

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Excalibur-Elect ... SwbiFZVIBx

Seriously? 12 photos of the box??

Anal Retentive Regards

It's a beautiful box, a wonderful box, an incomparable box. But a ridiculous price.

Par excellence?

Post by Vincenzo »

Not saying this isn't legit, but the seller isn't doing a lot to persuade you it is:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142440851856

So it's a Par excellence, overclocked, but in a regular excellence case. Allegedly done by an expert, but no photo of the invoice or other evidence that it isn't just a regular unit. Of course, no returns accepted!
