Hi Dave,
Sorry, we have the grandchildren, no time to look at Hiarcs...
But after this game is finished I can play if you like!
[fen]2Rb4/5kp1/b1B1p2p/3PPp2/2p2P2/2B1K1PP/8/8 w - - 0 61[/fen]
At this point the game seemed winnable. But the positive eval score for the R30 began dropping after 59, Bc6 and stabilized around +0.70 throughout the rest of the game.
Wasn't funny for me, just painful. Sometimes the London program is oblivious of any Kingside attack and masses it's own pieces on the Queen side, then just shuffles pieces back and forth like the KB and R in this game. See the Vancouver's total domination of the board.
Cheers,
Al
After 42. Bf4:
[fen]r2q1k2/1p1r3b/4p2P/p2pPp1B/Pb1P1B2/6Q1/1PR2P2/2R3K1 b - - 11 42[/fen]
and the final position:
[fen]2Rk2r1/1p5b/7P/p2p4/P2P2Q1/8/1P3PK1/8 b - - 1 55[/fen]

sorry, Al, I thought rocking rook, rocking bishop and locked-in queen were some sort of fun for you too....
Today was played the game 4 from round 5 between Revelation II Hiarcs 14.1 ELO 2340 and Mysticum Aristarch 4.5. The oppening was a King's Indian attack. Hiarcs had a solid position. On move 27 Hiarcs dropped one pawn but this was not a problem Hiarcs had still good chances until move 51 where another pawn was dropped and came up this position:
[fen]6k1/2n3p1/5p2/1p1p1P1p/1Pbr1N1R/7B/7P/7K w - - 0 52[/fen]
Then the machines played: 52.Kg2 Bb3 53.Kg3 Rxb4 54.Rxh5 Bd1 55.Bg4
[fen]6k1/2n3p1/5p2/1p1p1P1R/1r3NB1/6K1/7P/3b4 b - - 2 55 [/fen]
In the above position Aristarch played 55..BxB and the position evaluation went from -3.26 to -5.31 this because Aristarch was seeing that the knight falls 3 moves later.
Then the position on move 70.Rg7
[fen]8/4r1R1/5pnP/6k1/1p6/8/6K1/8 b - - 5 70[/fen]
