Hi,

Even though the photos are made by me, and also the Youtube video... I have nothing to do with this sale. Well, I saw its intimacies, because I repaired it
 ...but nothing else, because it was returned to its owner some time ago.

Bit Embarrassed Regards,
Berger

A collection of very seldom cartridges. Besides the Gruenfeld and Morphy chess modules a checkers (Borchek), reversi (Odin). The Monitor Edition Master Kriegsspiel I have never seen before. It's a program for playing blind man's chess against the computer

Yes, interesting and rare. I had thought about it.
I have a Las Vegas module for the MGS/GGM, if anyone is interested.

How Fickled is Ebay?

This almost certainly defective Fidelity EAS brings in close to $700(after 51 bids):

http://www.ebay.com/itm/302276513550?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT

While this Saitek Renaissance board cant buy a bid:

Unstable Regards

Yeah, but he does beautiful work. Maybe useless for collectors, but not for people who buy machines for play. (I sort-of fit in both categories.)

actually I also fit into both categories
but I only play against the computers I collect and I don't collect modified computers
I will say though....this latest offering by the MMM is tempting

I think you're safe here: This appears to be a totally new machine, not a modified Fidelity (except, perhaps, for the software). :)

He could have access to the source code. One reason I say that is that taking ROMs and running the code on a faster processor would make the clocks run too fast, so he had to find a way to modify the clock rate. He could disassemble the code to find and make that change, but that would be very tedious compared to changing and recompiling the original source.

Just Speculating Regards
Cheers,

Steve - I agree with Jeff...the MMM seems to have created a totally new traditional dedicated chess computer running on fast Motorola 68060 hardware. I think it does use older software modified to run properly on the faster hardware.

Pull out your check book ....regards,
Dave
