Hiarcs Forum 10th Birthday Party Competition!

Post by Harvey Williamson »

Hello All,

The Hiarcs forum is 10 years old

During this time Our users have posted a total of 76000 articles
We have 2832 registered users.

When we first opened the forum we ran a few competitions to welcome people. We have decided to run another one to celebrate our anniversary. We are offering 5 prizes. They will be free copies of Hiarcs Chess Explorer. You will have the choice of taking the current version or you can wait until version 2 is released and have that as your prize.

http://www.hiarcs.com/mac-chess-explorer.htm
http://www.hiarcs.com/pc-chess-explorer.htm

Now to the competition. The latest CSVN tournament is at the end of April http://www.csvn.nl/

As of today there are 7 entries. There will be more I am sure. However what we want you to do is predict the order these 7 will finish in. We will ignore all other engines except these 7

The King
The Baron
Hiarcs
Embla
Arminius
Nemeton
Spartacus

So the 5 that get most in the right order win the prizes. In case there are more than 5 winners please answer the following tie break question:

How many moves will Hiarcs make in the last round of the CSVN tournament?

Entries close as soon as the tournament starts on Saturday 29th April.

Please post your entries as a reply here. We will lock the thread
on the 29th April and announce the winners as soon as we can after the CSVN tournament.

Good Luck,
Harvey

Hi Steve,

I really did feel guilty, because I remember it well and I am still thankful for it. So how about this... if it happens that I win then you can pass it onto the next person on the winners list :)

Best regards...ps... I am not kidding I mean it :)
