I have started a 12 game match between these two computers,the settings are 40 in 2 followed by 20 in 1hour,i.e. the old classical tournament settings.The CGPro's book is the modern setting,the Tasc playing style is normal. CGPro(white)vR30(black)ECO E60 1.d4-Nf6 2.c4-g6 3.g3-Bg7 4.Bg2-O-O 5.Nc3-Nc6*(-0.26)6.e3-d6 7.Nge2-e5 8.O-O-Bf5 9.Qb3*(+0.23)-Na5 10.Qb4-c6 11.de5-c5 12.Qa5-de5 13.Rd1-Bd7 14.Qc2-Nc4 15.Ne4-Ne4 16.Be4-Nb6 17.Bb7-Rb8 18.Be4-Qc7 19.b3-f5 20.Bh1(+0.65)-e4(+0.10) 21.Bb2-Bb2 22.Qb2-g5 23.Qc3-Rbc8 24.Qa5-Be8 25.Nc3-Qe7 26.Rdc1-Bh5 27.Nb5-Rf7 28.Rc2-f4 29.Re1-fg3 30.hg3-Bg6 31.Rd2-Rd8 32.Rd8+-Qd8 33.Na7-Qf6 34.Rf1-Bf5 35.Nb5-Bh3 36.Bg2-Bg2 37.Kg2-Qf3+ 38.Kg1-Rf6 39.Qa7-Rh6 40.Qb8+-Kf7 41.Qc7+-Kg8 42.Qd8+-Kf7 43.Qc7+-Kg8 44.Qd8+-Kf7 45.Qc7+ draw 3 fold rep.

Looks an interesting match, the form book would suggest a moderate win for the Tasc by about 7-5. But you never know and I look forward to the rest of the games. A lot of the form is from the German site using the London book which I personally believe handicaps the CG Pro somewhat leading to more closed positions that do not suit its style

I would think that a 7-5 score over 12 games would probably reflect the ratings of these computers,but that isn't how it always pans out.Anyhow this is the second game,Tasc R30 (white)CGPro(black).[ECO D47]1.d4-d5 2.Nf3-c6 3.c4-Nf6 4.Nc3-e6 5.e3-Nbd7 6.Bd3-dc4 7.Bc4-b5 8.Bd3-Bb7 9.O-O-a6 10.e4-c5 11.d5-Qc7 12.de6*(+0.1Cool-fe6 13.Ng5-Qc6*(-0.1Cool 14.Bf4-c4 15.Bc2-c5 16.Nf3-O-O 17.Qd2-Rad8 18.Rd1-b4 19.Na4-b3 20.ab3(-0.06)-cb3(-0.29) 21.Bb3-Ne4 22.Qc1-Kh8 23.Nc5-Nc5 24.Ba2-Qa4 25.b4-Bf3 26.gf3-Qa2 27.bc5-Qa4 28.c6-Rf4 29.Rd7-Rdf8 30.Qf3(+0.63)-Rg8(-0.56) 31.Rc1-Rff8 32.Qe3-Qb5 33.Qc5-Qa4 34.Rd6-Qf4 35.c7-Rc8 36.Rc3-Rge8 37.Ra6-e5 38.Qc4-Qg5+ 39.Qg4-Qe7 40.Rac6(+1.61)-Rf8(-1.26) 41.Kg2-g6 42.Rc5-Rf5 43.Qe4-Kg7 44.Kf1-Kh8 45.Qd5-Rff8 46.Qe5+-Qe5 47.Re5-Rf7 48.Rec5-Rf3 49.Rb6-Rff8 50.h4-Kg7 51.R5c6(+1.86)-Rfe8(-1.96) 52.Rc4-Rf8 53.Rb7-Rf7 54.Rc6-Rf6 55.Rc5-Rf5 56.Rc3-Rf7 57.h5-gh5 58.Rc6-h4 59.Kg1-h3 60.Rc2-Kf6 61.Kh2-Ke5 62.Kh3-Kd6 63.Rb6+-Kd5 64.Rb5+-Kd6 65.Rb7-Rcc7 66.Rbc7-Rc7 67.Rc7-Kc7 68.Kg4-Kd6 69.Kf5-Ke7 70.f3 neither computer can queen their solitary pawn both computers showing 0.00 so a second draw it is.

The MG pro certainly played well in this game, the tame Stockfish on Lichess shows it only made 3 inaccuracies as against six inaccuracies four mistakes and a blunder for the Tasc. The MCG has shown itself to be relatively very strong in the endgames against old dedicated comps and this was the case here perhaps due to its relatively speedy processor. Since the Tasc often seems to go for more open tactical positions that could make the games interesting since the MCG also does quite well in these types of positions

Game 5,an unusual game in the sense that at move 30,both computers had the balance of the game at around half a pawn evaluation,5 moves later it was all over,here it is CGPro(white) R30(black)[ECO B39]1.e4-c5 2.Nf3-Nc6 3.d4-cd4 4.Nd4-g6 5.c4-Bg7 6.Be3-Nf6 7.Nc3-Ng4 8.Qg4-Nd4 9.Qd1-Ne6 10.Be2-d6*(-0.59) 11.Rc1(+0.09)-Bd7 12.f3 0-0 13.Nd5-f5 14.ef5-gf5 15.Qd2-f4 16.Nf4-Nf4 17.Bf4-Qb6 18.b3-Bd4 19.Bh6-Rf7 20.Bd3(+0.4Cool-e5(-0.49) 21.Be4-Bc6 22.Qg5+ Kh8 23.Qh5-Qc7 24.Rc2-Rg8 25.Bg5-Be4 26.fe4-b5 27.Kd1-bc4 28.Rc4-Qd7 29.Rc2-d5 30.Bh4(+0.31)-de4(+0.62) 31.Kc1-Rc8 32.Qg5-e3 33.Rc8+ Qc8+ 34.Kb1-Rf8 35.Rc1-Qa6 36.Rd1-Qe2 0-1 Finished off with aplomb by the R30 which now leads 3-2

It seems as if there may be a problem with playing through the games I am submitting,if anyone else is having these same problems playing through these games, which is the point of my postings, making them legible to play through that is,if they could post a reply to that effect, thanks.

The games are perfectly legible and can be played through. However some people like to analyse games with an engine so prefer PGN format. This is most easily achieved by inputting the game into Fritz, saving it to a database and then right clicking the database entry and selecting text out put. But I suppose if people are that motivated they can easily do this themselves from the game text you have posted.
Exciting and close match so far!

Game 7 of the match,the R30 does seem to have a tactical edge at the moment,I did play a few games between these 2 computers before this match,but I'll keep that score separate.CGPro(white) R30 (black)[ECO B01]1.e4-d5 2.ed5-Qd5 3.Nc3-Qa5 4.d4-Nf6 5.Bd2-Bg4 6.f3-Be6*(-0.37)7.Bb5+*(+0.04)-c6 8.Bd3-Na6 9.a3-Qb6 10.Nge2(+0.34)-c5(-0.73) 11.Na4-Qc6 12.c4-cd4 13.Nd4-Qd6 14.Be3-Bd7 15.0-0 e5 16.Nb5-Bb5 17.cb5-Nd5 18.Bf2-Nac7 19.Qc2-Ne6 20.Be4(+0.7Cool-Nd4(-1.07) 21.Qc4-Rd8 22.Bd4-ed4 23.Qd4-Nb6 24.Qe3-Be7 25.Nb6-Qb6 26.Qb6-ab6 27.Rad1-Bc5+ 28.Kh1 0-0 29.Bb7-Rd1 30.Rd1(+1.90)-Re8(-1.54) 31.Be4-Be7 32 g4-Kf8 33.Ka2-Rd8 34.Rd8+ Bd8 35.f4-h5 36.gh5-Ke7 37.Bd5-f5 38.Bc4-Kd6 39.Bd3-Ke6 40.a4(+2.32)-Bf6(-1.35) 41.b3-Bc3 42.Kg3-Be1+ 43.Kf3-Bb4 44.Bc4+ Kd7 45.Bf1-Ke7 46.Be2-Bd2 47.Bd3-Ke6 48.h3-Bb4 49.Bc4+ Kd7 50.Bf1(+2.17)-Ke7(-1.34) 51.Be2-Bd2 52.Bd3-Ke6 53.Bc4+ Kd6 54.Bf7-Ke7 55.Bg6-Kf6 56.Be8-Ke7 57.Bc6-Ke6 58.Bb7-Kd7 59.Bd5-Kd6 60.Bc4(+2.07)-Ke7(-1.33) 61.Be2-Ke6 62.Bd1-Bc3 63.Ke2-Bb4 64.Bc2-Bd6 65.Kf3-Bc5 66.Kg2-Bd6 67.Kg3-Bb4 68.Bb1-Be1+ 69.Kf3-Bb4 70.h4(+1.95)-Bd6(-1.33) 71.Bd3-Bc5 72.Bc4+ Kd6 73.Ke2-Ba3 74.Bd3-Ke6 75.Kf2-Bc5+ 76.Kf3-Bb4 77.Bc4+ Kd7 78.Kg2-Bd2 79.h6-gh6 80.Kf3(+1.76)-Ke7(-1.27) 81.Bd3-Kf6 82.h5-Ke6 83.Bc2-Bb4 84.Bb1-Bd2 85.Bd3-Kf6 86.Bc4-Ke7 87.Kg3-Kd6 1/2 1/2 there's no headway for either computer in this game, I think the CGPro may have made the R30's defensive task a little easier back at move 34 exchanging the rooks and leaving opposite coloured bishops.
