Interesting. It appears the NSS is a level above Chess Genius Pro. I was expecting it to be closer, even with the small number of games played so far. Actually, from what I've read about MCGP on this forum, I was expecting it to be ahead.

Thanks for posting the games. I am following with keen interest.

(Edit)

I found this thread of yours http://hiarcs.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7672 and that was just MCG (not Pro) and it won convincingly. The Pro version is supposed to be stronger but it's getting whooped in this match already. What to make of this?

Millennium Chessgenius in Lars' tests beat Novag Star Sapphire 13-7. The result so far against MCP could be a fluke or Lars is using the easy mode Smile

Best regards

The number of games are few, and anything can happen, even in the full 20-game match; but that would of course be totally unpredicted. Even though it's seldom that a match starts this way, it isn't totally uncommon either. Even though I have a small advantage of knowing how the standing are after 8 games (they will be published now), I still would have predicted a clear win for the MCG Pro even after the first 5 games.

The manual meetings are way slower than my automatic meetings; but in those automatic meetings, there are often discrepancies between any individual of the 4 chunks of 10 games, and the full 40 games which is our standard in automatic meetings (20 games for manual meetings).

Best regards

I am staying tuned to this thread because I want to see if MCGP ends up beating Novag. This is a very interesting match. Thanks for all the games you posted so far.

Hope that the next two games will provide interesting, even though the 9th game wasn't the funniest and featured a humanly induced bug. Smile More info will come as soon as I publish the latest games, something which will happen later today hopefully.

Best regards

A human induced bug! Laughing

I wonder what that could be, but right away, it sounds like my kind of thing.

Awaiting with bated breath.
