New Hide next moves feature of HCE 1.8

Post by gabeeg »

It is so simple but such a helpful feature for training. Brilliant addition to the product. ...it is also making it much more apparent why I am not a GM :)

When viewing a game if you turn this option on it will hide all of the notation after the current move. With the moves hidden in the notation window you can now try and guess the games next move...if you are right it progresses to the next move...if you are wrong you get a pop-up telling you that it was the incorrect move. You cannot progress until the correct move is entered. It is a very good training tool with high quality games and puzzles.

Neat Are there any limits to what elements of the page you can style?
