For anyone interested in the old computer's this collection of Selective Search Magazines will be well worth whatever they sell for
not a complete collection but pretty close

Selective Search ran from 1985 to 2013
and sadly is no longer published
very rare to see these for sale on Ebay
the Mag.. during its heyday.. was considered a leading authority on the subject of dedicated chess computers
its ratings for the computers were quoted everywhere the topic was discussed
will provide countless hrs of reading pleasure

i know the seller for many years and can highly recommend him as an honorable man to do business with

A Must For Both The Casual OR Serious Collector Regards

That amount of paper would be quite heavy, therefore expensive
to ship. Maybe if I have it shipped a page at a time?

A six issue subscription would run me about $55(shipped)
six issues would cover about one year
earlier years were cheaper when postage rates were lower

if i added up all of the money i spent on the mag over all of the years i am looking at well over $1000..probably more

Money Well Spent Regards

Well the Mephisto TM sells for a record breaking $4700
I think this might be the highest price ever paid for a schachcomputer on Ebay

And that was with shipping within Germany only. Maybe the seller
made a mistake cutting out foreign bidders.

Isn't this the same model TM listed here in completed auctions? Maybe not the exact unit that just closed in auction, but the same TM?

http://www.ebay.de/itm/Mephisto-Vancouv ... 1529706088?

If it is the same, someone made out like a bandit.

Great deal regards,

This is defnitely the same machine...compare the squares a1, g1, f2.
They are identical!

Currently watching the EAG2100. My problem is that others are also
watching it with hungry eyes.

It's the same machine alright... just compare the wood grain. But one
is in California, one in Alabama. Might be an idea to steer clear of
"both" of them.
I see the high bid on the Alabama one is over $1k already.
