2. game Mchess Pro (8.x) - The Baron 3.8
Hello,
the audience may interest to hear that Mchess is playing on a Maschine with 1 cor running at 2 Ghz on the other side a 16 cor (each cor more than 3 Ghz) is running.
Mchess only can use 64 MB for Hash, and used the opening Book of Mchess Pro 8 release Version from sandro.
Mchess plays with special settings for the figures and for mobility and kingsafty.
The Baron once in a winning position missed to close the game, makes some bad moves (e.g. Qf2?) that allow mchess to rescue in a draw but after another bad moves mchess is able to start a counterattack and play for a win....and exciting game.
It Would be nice to see a new Mchess UCI Version who can use a new hardware features....
I wonder if is planned that sandro will develop the new opening book for Mchess 2010?
Greeting
Andi

Hi,
yes, the new M-Chess will get an opening book from me even if I will continuo to make the openings book for Shredder. The plan is that it wil be sold in shredderchess.com
I.ve told Martin that the new engine will have to be MPV too, besides being x64, so we should be able to see a big jump in strength.
Nice match!
Ciao

Some more info on Marty:
I met him and his wife in the San Francisco bay area as I invited him to join the celebration of my birthday, so we had some time to talk while we were eating the dinner together.

Re: MChess UCI
If he also makes a Mac version, i will buy it without hesitation.Sandro Necchi wrote:Hi,
yes, the new M-Chess will get an opening book from me even if I will continuo to make the openings book for Shredder. The plan is that it wil be sold in shredderchess.com
I.ve told Martin that the new engine will have to be MPV too, besides being x64, so we should be able to see a big jump in strength.
Nice match!
