Hiarcs 12MP book Learning.

Hiarcs 12MP book Learning.
I have book learning turned on in Hirace12MP but I dont see where it Creates a file. Where does Hiarcs put it.

The uci book you cant read. The advantage of it is that is portable and will run in any GUI. If you want to control it and make it play certain lines you can do this with a gui book eg. a ctg in CB. If you ant tit to play e4 make a ctg with 1.e4 in etc...George Bodkin wrote:So how do you see the book.

I don't want to read it I just don't see it in Hiarcs12MP.
In Hiarcs 11.2MP I can see the book.

HIARCS Chess Application Data folder
------------------------------------
Files located here:

Vista
eg. "C:\Documents and Settings\<User Name>\Application Data\HIARCS Chess" - on
Microsoft Windows XP and earlier.
HIARCS installs and creates the following data files in the Application Data
folder. These files are:

+ Hiarcs12MP.lrn - Position Learning for Hiarcs 12 multi-processor version
+ HiarcsMPPB07.lrn - Position Learning for Paderborn multi-processor version
+ H12MP.pgn - Autosave of games for Hiarcs 12 multi-processor version
+ HiarcsMPPB07.pgn - Autosave of games for Paderborn multi-processor version
+ H12SPBook.hcs - Opening book for single-processor Hiarcs engines
+ Hiarcs12SP.lrn - Position Learning for Hiarcs 12 single-processor version
+ HiarcsSPPB07.lrn - Position Learning for Paderborn single-processor version
+ H12SP.pgn - Autosave of games for Hiarcs 12 single-processor version

The reason they are moved there is because in Vista there are security issues with data not being allowed to be written back to the program files folder.
