Computer vs Computer

Post by jsolloways »

Has anyone had any luck with the computer vs computer set up with fritz or arena gui. If you have got this to work please tell me how and what cable interface you used.

Also would there be any way a palm could connect to a computer and play a game vs pc without drafting the palms moves manually. any help greatly appreciated.

Playing engine matches between two PC's is explained in the Fritz Help file. Type in "Autoplayer" in the search option and instructions are set out.

Once you have connected through the serial coms with a null modem cable and you are ready to start, select "New two computer match" from the Fritz file menu filling in the appropriate information and away you go! Don't forget to select the appropriate com port number.
Also remeber to set up game time controls, engines to be used and opening books before starting the match.
