In Accordance with a match schedule arranged back in January
a game is scheduled for this Sunday March 2
next Sunday ..March 9 ..is a Bye week

strangely..upon the conclusion of last weeks game...Ricardo sent me a PM
indicating that there is no game next week...according to our previously agreed schedule
i attributed this to be a mere mistake ..possibly caused by the loss of the Mysticum which would have been unsettling to Ricardo leaving him understandably dazed and confused
i immediately replied indicating that there is a game scheduled for March 2 and he should confirm this
he has not replied

Forfeit Regards?

Hi Steve,

Because of a change in my guard schedule on my work i can not play today but i can play next sunday 9th. In the mean time i will post now the last game and a critical moment where Mysticum have to gave up the b pawn that was holding in some way the a an b white pawns. After that those white pawns became unstoppable.

Here Mysticum played 55..Be5 to defend the g pawn and had to gave away the b pawn.

It was an endgame where Mysticum had a too strong b6 pawn wtih a also strong bishop protecting it. Rev II resigns in this position

The Rev II was also out of book at move 9
the match started off with 4 straight draws and now we have had 3 decisive games in a row..with White winning each of the last 3 games

i think my mistake here was to leave the Ebony pieces on the board for two games in a row
they were still clearly exhausted from the win last game
For the 8TH game the BCE pieces Will be making a reappearance from game 1

Mysticum Re-Takes the lead....
4-3 Regards

Here was the first critical moment in the game. Rev II came up with a pawn after 32..Qxa4 and a promising a7 pawn.

[fen]6k1/p4pb1/2p3pp/2P5/qr1p1BP1/3P3P/2Q2PK1/2R5 w - - 0 1[/fen]

But after 15 more moves and on move 47.Qxc6 Mysticum regain the pawn and got a strong position.

Next game Hiarcs with white.

In the 8th Epocian Game...
Rev II was out of book at move 6
for the first time in the match one side cannot Castle
Mysticum saddles the Rev II with doubled A pawns but gets stuck in the middle of the board as a result
it manages to O-O-O by hand but in the process loses two P's
the game looks like a sure win for the Rev II ..at one point showing an Eval of +2.25
somehow Mysticum claws its way back ...winning back both P's and leaving the position a lifeless draw

Sorry I missed this game, amazing that the Mysticum pulled it back to a draw. Be interesting to see what the pc engines make of it.

In this position Hiarcs had an advantage of 2 pawns after move 47..Qd3 here Mysticum showed an Eval of +0.70 probably because of the weak a5 pawn but this is much better position for Rev II. I also thought that Rev II had good chances for a win, the highest Eval of Mysticum for white was +1.10 on move 64.Qd3f5 but the after white next move 65.Qf5d1 dropped to +0.46

Hi Steve,

Mysticum is down now because a wrong test of me i try to operate it several hours without fan cooler then i turn it off but now does not turn on. I made some other test but with no results. I have one more test that is replacing the RAM memory but that i can no do it till next week. Is all up to the chief arbiter he can declare a win of the 9th game for Rev II or even the match if i can not fix it before the 10th game.

 getting down just before the end regards
