Does Hiarcs on the Rev have position learning? If it does you should probably switch it off when doing a test like this. Don't forget to switch it back on afterwards!
Say NO to Learning regards,
Harvey
Yes it does
i turned the computer off
reset the position and turned Position learning to FALSE(OFF)

After the interviews we start the third game of this interesting match. It was a spanish oppening with a Marshall attack. Mysticum came out of book at move 16 and Rev II at move 19.
After move 31 the machines came up with this position. Rev II had a very strong attack in the King side and Mysticum had an extra pawn in the queen side. The black bishop and the 2 white and black rooks went out of the board in the following 5 moves.
[fen]3r1r2/3b4/p5k1/1pPQ4/6pp/2P2P1q/PP5P/3RR1K1 w - - 0 1[/fen]
In the above position The Rev II King was not protected so Mysticum made a lot of checks to neutralize this strong attack but because of this Mysticum was not able to move this c5 extra pawn and after 26 more moves we agreed a draw.

Rev ll was Out Of Book on move 10
Following the pattern of the previous games...
one side wins a P but the position was totally drawn at move 50
However the Mysticum was in the mood to treat the spectators to a "Knights
Tour" and proceeded to make 22 consecutive Knight moves before it agreed to split the point at move 72

And the piece set for game 5?
Yes the Rev ll's 16th and 17th moves surprised me as well
it wanted to play 16.Rc5 but then switched to the K move
dont think it really mattered much
actually i thought the game was headed for a draw after the Q's were exchanged on move 14
The Fifth game will be Sunday February 16th
no game next Sunday
this works out good for me as i recently picked up a fairly Rare Computer and i haven't had a chance to play with it yet
now i can poke and prod it a bit
Here is how Mysticum saw the fourth game. It was a sicilian allways a exciting oppening going for blood. Mysticum came out of the oppening on move 15th.
