Right, democracy is notoriously inefficient. I see you are really cutting it close to the 'flag' line on this move, 47 out of 48 hours spent on it so far :)
I'm really curious to see which way you go hehe.

A quick post just to check the timezone of this server to make sure I'm not flagging, yet

EDIT: ok, so my local t/z clock is one hour ahead of the forum clock. Noted for future time scramble moves :)

Oh well. So the best I could find for White after 17. Bc4 which was my original plan are some drawn 'blind bishop' endings (I spent something like 15 hours I think analysing 17. Bc4, if not more) where Black keeps the h pawn but I can likely hold a draw.

So while I believe the move I am going to play is objectively inferior and more risky for White, for the sake of keeping the position more alive and in the spirit of the opening I'm going to boldly go with:

17. a3 is my move :D

with ~4 minutes to go hehe.

Dark Horse: I'll need to be in Zurich Monday - Wednesday next week (work related). I may therefore need to ask for one of the two 'time outs' we agreed to in advance. If your team will make your move by Sunday on both games per our t/c, I'll do my best to make my move that same day before I hit the road, but not sure if I can make that or not. I figured I'd better say that before your team makes your move. Hope that's acceptable?

Hope you're having fun in our games? May I ask how many active votes do you have at the moment for each of the games?
