Changing Hash size

I know this has been asked before but unable to find it now. I know there was a fault that stopped us changing hash size in engines to what we wanted. I assumed this had been fixed by now, however I just tried to change hash size for Deep Hiarcs and it will not let me go above 2048?

The Hiarcs engine is 32 bit and therefore 2048 is the maximum for a 32 bit program
