Hello everyone
Another newbie question.
I can't find any drawing tools (arrows and highlights etc) to use for analysis and explanations in HIARCS? Is it available?
If not, is there another mac client I can use on top of HIARCS?
Thanks and regards,
JJ

I copy the screen and paste into preview then use preview's edit feature to add arrows and highlighting. Preview will not do much more that this, but it is all I need.

The upcoming 1.7 version allows drawing of arrows and highlighting squares within HCE - this is useful for presentations and explaining games. The prototype was used at the London Chess Classic by GMs very successfully to present the games.

The drawing tools are now in HIARCS Chess Explorer v1.7 which is available for download.

Found the arrows, even found the way to remove them
(Just do like you draw another arrow in the same color)
But am I correct that there's no way for highlights or arrows to appear on print?

Bonjour (Please excuse my poor English)
I tried the arrows feature. Works well... but CRTL-ALT combination give a GREEN arrow and not a YELLOW one.
I'm on Mac.
Is this a bug ?
All the best,
Gilles

When on windows Ctrl is used, you should use Cmd on the Mac.
So Cmd-Alt will give Yellow.

That is correct.
Unfortunately when I did the manual Ctrl was put in the Mac version. Will update the online version soon and the next update will have the correction.

Thanks! How do you make the arrows and highlighted squares go away if they are not the last thing you changed? (so ctrl-z is out)

Repeat the action.
Alt-click on e4 turns the square green.
Alt-click e4 again removes the color

Is it possible to change the colors achieved by a given key combination?
Thanks,
