Thanks for the update, any possibility of having to load next game from a database. Just that I have some PGN files with 1000's of positions or games and it is a pain to load a game that is say number 3456 you first have to go back to Load Game, then select from which file, and then scroll for ages to get the game or position you want. Is it possible for iOS to do this as I have not seen any other iOS chess app do this either.
Also being able to filter a PGN file for players would be nice.

It is possible to do these things and in time I hope HIARCS will support them.

I have implemented a previous and next game feature. Nice to know it could be the only iOS app with that feature.

You should see it in the 13.5 release.

Wow, you have made my day. I think many other users will appreciate that next game and previous game feature. I have many chess apps such as Chess Genius, Shredder, Tiger, StockFish , Chess Partner and some more obscure types & none of those have that feature. I also have one more request which some other apps do and don't do, that is that when a game/position is loaded that the chess board is shown from the starting position. The reason being because I have collections of tactical puzzles which have solutions in the main line & when you load one of these test positions then seeing the final position spoils the test , you have to close your eyes and touch the fast rewind button to get to the start position. Pocket Fritz & Stockfish implement this method.
Thanks for listening and I look forward to the changes in due time.

Loading games which were not played against HIARCS at the beginning of the game seems sensible so I have implemented that.

For normal games played against HIARCS it seems better to load at the end of the game, e.g. when loading a previously saved game in progress.

Good to know that you can have the variable load game feature dependant on what PGN file you are using, that way everybody will be happy with the change.

I don't allow selection of this since I don't think it will make sense to resume played games against HIARCS at the beginning of the game.

So what I have done is started any non HIARCS played games at the beginning when loaded, so for example when loading a Fischer-Spassky game from the database it loads at the starting position so the "story" of the game is not seen. The user can then step through, replay or analyse the game etc.
