Well... if the Hiarcs chess engine was ported to iPhone (Objective-C), what's the problem in port to Android?
Ok, yes, the "official" language of Android is Java, but you can make calls to your legacy C/C++ code using the NDK...
So, what about an Android version? Would be my Xmas gift...

Yes, I know ChessGenius. I own 2 copies: one for my Palm Lifedrive (!) e another for my Nokia N95 8GB.
But in the meantime I can live with Chess++ (http://www.jwtc.nl/) and DroidFish (http://web.comhem.se/petero2home/droidfish/).
But the chess engine of my heart is Hiarcs!
