The v1.3.1 installer like all our other software is signed by Applied Computer Concepts Ltd and countersigned by Sectigo RSA. You just need to select properties on the installer to see it has a valid (expensive  ) digital signature. The fault is with Norton.

I have an iMac running under MacOs Catalina 10.15.7
After installing HCE pro 1.3 a error message told me that this version needs at least MacOS11? Is that correct ?

Best regards

The min macOS for HCE Pro v1.3 built on Qt 6.5 is macOS 11. We needed to use 6.5 to resolve some issues in the previous Qt version.

Is there a reason you cannot upgrade the Mac OS version?
Best wishes,
Mark

It's nearly 11 years old.
Buy a new iMAC with M3 chip https://www.apple.com/imac/

That is frustrating, I know as I have had iMacs and two 17" MacBookPros that are now made obsolete by Apple despite the relatively good hardware. While Apple make some nice computers they are very expensive.

I will see what I can do for v1.3.1 to have a special version for those still stuck on older hardware/macOS versions 10.14 or later, unfortunately it will not have some fixes but should have most new improvements.

Mark

Thank you very much for your answer.

I know that I'll have to change my old Mac for a new one soon. Many other programs can't be updated since a while.

Hi rolanschott !

I'm using an old MacMini late 2012 8/512, it's for me a perfect computer.
Apple M1, M2, M3, M…
My wife works on a MacBookAir M1, I bought a MacMini M2Pro.
Super !

But your old iMac works fine, I'm happy.
Seems to me that you can install recent OS on old machines using free software.
Even if this is not planned by Apple.
Maybe ?

Agree to Mark. Old Mac are good Mac.

How can I do an automatic game analysis at night with 2 engines at the same time (Stockfish and LC0)?

I can't see WDL (Win/Draw/Loss) evaluation in the notation. BUG?
A: 8.Ne2 Stockfish dev-20231207-nogit: +0.47/35 (30/60/10) moves...
B: 8.a3 Lc0 v0.30.0+git.dirty: +0.38/14 (20/75/5) moves...

How to activate the WDL (Win/Draw/Loss) evaluation when analyzing a game?
+0.19/9 (10/85/5) 8.Qb6 9.Qc1 Be7 10.c3 O-O 11.g3 a5 12.Bg2 cxd4 13.Nexd4 Nc5 14.O-O Bd7 15.Qc2 Ne4

I can't see the engine name and accuracy compared to the engine in the notation at the bottom. BUG?
A: Stockfish 86% and then the informations with 0.12 centipawns per move, blunders, mistakes, inaccuracies…
B: LC0 89%, 0.09, blunders, mistakes, inaccuracies…

Hi,
After a quick & dirty try, I think this should work:

I assume the game you want to analyse is in a specific database (not WorkBase)
Copy/paste the game inside WorkBase
Now you can launch two analysis of the same game (one for each tab)
Once completed, copy the annotated(1) game from WorkBase and paste it to your specific database annotated(2) game using the 'Merge with current game' option. You should get annotated(1+2) as a result.

Give it a try and double check, I didn't test seriously.
Cheers,
Tibono

On the digital signature issue, thanks, Mark! I assume it's just a Norton issue, so I told Norton to allow it to run! :>)

That sounds very difficult and unnecessarily complex.

Sorry I "only" answered "how can I..." I understand your position, but you are actually looking for a feature for dummies. And a bit of a rough reply to a helpful gentleman.
Maybe I am a bit oldschool...

My mistake.
Of course I am grateful for the hint.
But why do you think this is a function for dummies?
Any other chess GUI can do that.
I was thinking of:
1. select analysis engine 1 and 2.
2. start analysis and let it run overnight.
Done.

OK, that's indeed a "to be" feature request, rather than an "as is" solution.
Thks for the kind reply, no worries 8)
Best regards,
Tibono
