Background Colour

Post by Bryan Whitby »

In Edit, Preferences, Appearance Why would I not have a Background colour option?

I have, Main Line, Comment, Variation and Evaluation Symbol but no Background option?

For now it uses GUI background (including Dark Mode on Mac), but it may make sense to add it. We will consider it for 1.3.

You can setup a "dark mode" for Hiarcs on PC by changing your Windows theme to a high contrast one such as Night Sky.
Settings -> Personalization - > Themes - > Contrast themes (on Windows 11). Hiarcs will need to be restarted and in Hiarcs notation settings you need to 'reset colors' so that dark mode font colors kick in.

Thanks! That works great.
