In Edit, Preferences, Appearance Why would I not have a Background colour option?
I have, Main Line, Comment, Variation and Evaluation Symbol but no Background option?

Re: Background Colour
For now it uses GUI background (including Dark Mode on Mac), but it may make sense to add it. We will consider it for 1.3.Bryan Whitby wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2023 8:24 am In Edit, Preferences, Appearance Why would I not have a Background colour option?
Re: Background Colour
You can setup a "dark mode" for Hiarcs on PC by changing your Windows theme to a high contrast one such as Night Sky.
Settings -> Personalization - > Themes - > Contrast themes (on Windows 11). Hiarcs will need to be restarted and in Hiarcs notation settings you need to 'reset colors' so that dark mode font colors kick in.
