Guess the move - Tactics Training with HIARCS Chess Explorer Pro

Post by m_sankaran »

Hello,
I am aware of Guess the move feature for tactics training. Is there to configure HIARCS to present the tactics puzzles (within the db) in an randomized order?
Thanks

I do "Game > Select > Random" (Shift + Cmd + J on macOS) to get a random puzzle from a database.

This is guaranteed to traverse all the database only if you don't close the database (Shift+Cmd+J randomly goes through all games without repetition but the order is reset on restart).

So, if you want the random puzzle order, I suggest permanently sorting by some unrelated tag like White or Date.
