Thanks for the update and the new features. The game analysis 'missed blunder' bug is fixed though (sorry to complain so soon after the update...) there is a puzzling increase in exclamation marks in the game annotations. It is very obvious and after playing around a bit I thought I'd share. By way of illustration I compare below annotations of the same game using different HCE versions

HCE Pro v1.12 gives 5 moves exclamation marks:

The 5 ! look reasonable, if you inspect the game score and moves where these symbols appear. But 18 ! in 30 moves is too much, no? It looks like a bug. If it is deliberate I can't say I like it much. It devalues the utility of the 'good move' symbol. If a bug I hope it can be fixed and updated quickly.

Excited to see that Hiarcs 1.2 has come out. But I am having an issue downloading it. When I click on the link to download the update and it prompts me to enter my account information, it doesn't do anything. I am not sure what the issue is since I have ensured the information I was entering was correct.

I can confirm the abundance of exclamation marks. Both with Stockfish 16 and Deep Hiarcs 15.2.

Hi, I upgraded to v 1.2 and while playing my first game at millenium e-board (thanks for adding the support) I encountered this bug.
I have no idea whether it is related to v 1.2 or to an e-board play.



In short - the black, hiarcs' move 12...d3 is en passant capture in fact. But the white pawn d4 seems to be immortal and did not disappear.

Thanks, the d3 v exd3 issue is very surprising. I have tried numerous times with 1.2.1 to recreate and I could not. I tried eOne and Exclusive boards and still no luck reproducing this.

I also tested with v1.2 and again I was unable to invoke this.

Are you using Mac or PC? Can you recreate this issue?

Hi Mark, I was using millennium e-one. I have also exclusive, if it happens also there, I'll post. I had these engine settings:



I use 15i book

though at the engine settings screenshot it says "Book status" 15kBook


Game setting was "match opponent strength" and time was 5 minutes +10 for human, and think on player time.

Maybe it helps, but I know to reproduce it is to search for a needle in a haystack.
