How to access: HCE customer discounted upgrade to HCE Pro

Run HIARCS Chess Explorer and it should show you an upgrade discount on HCE Pro tailored to you.

If you do not see the message when you start HCE, you can force the message to appear as follows:
1. Make sure you have "Use Hiarcs server" checked in Prefs->Advanced
2. Make sure your firewall or internet security are not blocking HCE accessing the internet (you can check this in the bottom of the About dialog (HIARCS server status:).
3. In a (File->New) new database tab, open the Opening Explorer view and select source= online book, e.g. GM, GM+, H-Ref etc
4. Enter the moves 1.h2h4 h7h5 2.Rh1h3 Rh8h6 3.Rh3a3 Rh6a6 on the board
5. Exit HCE and restart it and the discounted offers will appear.

I've managed the sequence as neatly described.
The pop-up (for Mac) appears for two seconds, then HIARCS "unexpectedly crashes"
I can only reopen HIARCS by rebooting my MacBook. No upgrade achieve so far.

Error was mine.
If I had installed the most recent December update, then the upgrade feature would have worked a treat.
Looks exciting with some extra icons.

The discount you get is only for Windows version.It is silly that you get Mac pop-up ,then discount for windows version.
Please fix it.

Mac HCE customers get the HCE Pro for Mac discount. We have had a lot of upgrades via that approach and I have just checked it myself for good measure.

No, you did not get it.The pop-up you get while using HCE (mac) redirects you to a page with 25% off, but for windows version!

I had to delete the post with the image as it contained the discount coupon code.

I will look at how this issue of your discount directing to PC occurred, it does not happen when I run HCE on any Mac.

Sorry for the delay, I have checked the server handling in detail and I cannot find how it can happen. I assume this must be specific to the license key used, please email me the license key used or original purchase email address and I should be able to reproduce it and solve it quickly for you.
